Yangshan Terminal Trucking Surcharge / Yangshan Container Pickup Fee: This refers to fees paid for loading and unloading containers at Yangshan Port. Since most container trucking fleets in Shanghai are based in the Pudong and Baoshan areas, when containers are handled at Yangshan Port, the shipper or logistics company needs to pay certain fees to the port authorities. These fees cover handling services, equipment maintenance, etc. The exact amount may vary depending on port policy and service scope, generally around $50.

Difference Between Yangshan Container Pickup Fee and Yangshan Entry Trucking Surcharge:

Yangshan entry refers to the process of trucks carrying containers back to Yangshan Port in Shanghai. Yangshan is a large international port in Shanghai and one of China's largest container ports. Cargo enters Yangshan Port via vessels or other transportation, is handled and sorted, and then transported to its final destination by land or other means. The distance between Yangshan Port and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Terminal is about 100 km one-way, or 200 km round-trip.

The additional 200 km travel requires extra transportation charges.

Thus, the Yangshan Container Pickup Fee refers to the fee for handling containers at Yangshan Port, while Yangshan Entry refers to the process of the cargo entering the port. They are not the same concept.
