Service Upgrade | MSC Enhances Asia to US West Coast Network Services

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance service reliability and schedule integrity, MSC has optimized the ORIENT, SENTOSA, and CHINOOK services operating on the Asia – West Coast US network.

Below are the upcoming service changes and their associated operational benefits:
ORIENT Service
Effective voyage: GO616NNew port rotation: Qingdao – Ningbo – Shanghai – Busan – Long Beach – Qingdao
Details:Qingdao replaces Haiphong as the first port of call; Oakland is removed from the rotation.
Benefits:By reducing the number of port calls and adjusting the port sequence, the service will lower the risk of port congestion, thereby improving schedule reliability and ensuring more stable on-time arrivals.
SENTOSA Service
Effective voyage: FV614NNew port rotation: Singapore – Port Klang – Laem Chabang – Vung Tau – Haiphong – Yantian – Xiamen – Long Beach – Oakland – Busan – Ningbo – Singapore
Details:Haiphong is added to the rotation.
Benefits:This enables us to offer improved transit times compared to the previous service, while optimizing port coverage within a more stable network structure.
CHINOOK Service
Effective voyage: UK616ANew port rotation: Vung Tau – Yantian – Ningbo – Shanghai – Qingdao – Busan – Seattle – Vancouver – Prince Rupert – Busan – Vung Tau
Details:Haiphong is removed from the rotation.
Benefits:This change provides additional schedule buffer time, reduces recovery pressure in the event of operational delays, and supports more stable and predictable service performance.
