MSC Launches Enhanced ORIGAMI Service Connecting Asia with East Africa

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is pleased to announce the integration of its Oryx and Origami services into an upgraded Origami Service, offering a direct connection between Japan, South Korea, China, Singapore, and key East African markets - Tanzania and Kenya.

The first vessel on this new rotation, MSC General IV (Voyage JL546A), is scheduled to depart from Tokyo on 9 November 2025.

This enhanced Origami Service is designed to deliver greater efficiency, expanded connectivity, and unique competitive advantages for global shippers. By streamlining operations and optimizing port coverage, MSC aims to facilitate new trade opportunities, particularly within the automotive, electronics, chemical, and construction materials sectors.

The new rotation will be as follows:

Tokyo – Yokohama – Yokkaichi – Nagoya – Busan – Ningbo – Singapore – Mombasa – Dar es Salam – Singapore – Kaohsiung – Busan - Tokyo
