Xiamen Airport continues to strengthen its international air cargo network with the launch of a new all-cargo route connecting Xiamen, China and Cebu, Philippines. This marks the fourth dedicated cargo route between Xiamen and the Philippines, further enhancing logistics connectivity between China and Southeast Asia.

The new "Xiamen–Cebu" freighter service is jointly launched by Xiangye Group and Shandong Airlines. The route is operated by a Boeing 737-800 freighter aircraft and runs four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

In recent years, Xiamen Airport has been actively expanding its international cargo capabilities and improving regional logistics connectivity. Southeast Asia has become one of the airport's key strategic markets, with the Philippines playing an increasingly important role in cross-border trade and air freight development.

Earlier this month, Xiamen Airport also launched a new all-cargo route to Davao operated by Tianjin Cargo Airlines. Combined with the previously opened Clark cargo route and the existing Manila service, Xiamen now offers direct cargo connections to four major destinations in the Philippines.

The rapid expansion of these routes reflects the growing demand for efficient logistics solutions between China and Southeast Asia. Previously, many shipments required transshipment through third countries, resulting in longer transit times and higher logistics costs. The newly launched direct routes now provide faster and more efficient transportation options for importers and exporters.

Cargo exported from Xiamen to the Philippines mainly includes electronics, light industrial products, and cross-border e-commerce goods. On return flights, fresh tropical fruits, seafood, and other agricultural products from Southeast Asia are transported directly into China, helping improve supply chain efficiency and product freshness.

According to current statistics, Xiamen Airport now operates around 20 all-cargo flights per week between China and the Philippines. With continuous improvements in route coverage and transportation efficiency, Xiamen Airport is further strengthening its position as an important international air cargo hub serving the Southeast Asian market.

The expansion of the Philippines cargo network also creates more opportunities for businesses engaged in international trade, e-commerce logistics, and supply chain operations across Asia.
